We start out seeing Vig and Stuff helping a man who was being shot at by two strangers. While he saved the guy he shot off the shooter’s spur. Later that day Vig began arresting people for old laws that were no longer upheld. It is later revealed to Stuff (and the reader) that the spur gave away the identity of the shooter as a man that Vig and the men he had been arresting had captured. He had apparently sworn to kill all of them. Stuff suggested that they let them help but all the men were rather old now, and Vig feared they wouldn’t be able to handle it. So they picked up the last man and brought him to jail for chopping trees. But when they checked on his horse later they saw match strikes on the right side, which should not have been possible as he was missing that arm. He was the crook in disguise and he hid a bomb in the fake arm and left it there when he broke out.

I’ve read a similar tale before, the recycled story ideas a lot considering we still have decades of more material to read. A criminal scientist is trying to make a formula that will give him rubber abilities like those of Plastic Man. Well Instead of being able to stretch the man gained the ability to bounce, and was able to pull off a few crimes before our rubber man catches the man as he rarely looked where he was going to land.
Plastic Man was asked to look after a rajah while he was harbored in New York. Well the man was suspected of dealing with America’s enemies behind their backs and they also wanted Plas to look into this. So he makes a distraction and has Woozy snoop through the rajah’s things. Well when he is done with that Woozy goes to see the rajah’s wives, which is of course a grievous crime. So they were put below deck and were to be killed later, but Plas easily escaped and did up as the man the rajah was to be meeting and made him regret siding with the Russians, and so the two American’s were freed- Plas having sneaked back in.
This is gonna be the last one for a bit, I’m taking a break right now and I don’t have the back load I want right now. So give me a little time to make that and hopefully this will be the last time I have to do this. Expect the next post September 1st. (just because I don’t know how long this slump will last, hp reasons, and it should give me plenty of backlog)
